I was thrilled to be at this years  2nd Future Females Business Expo that was set to empower women and a space where female entrepreneurs grow their businesses together under the theme Self Care Strategies for your business.

This is a platform that every female entrepreneur needs to be associated with if they want to  achieve their business goals more quickly, leverage systems and processes more effectively, build your network more deliberately and start living life by your own design!

I had the pleasure of attending and being around women who are go getters, ambitious, hard working and women who want to thrive, take up space and be the woman of their dreams.

I spoke to all the vendors at the expo and the one take away was  that they wanted to have something they can call their own and some independence. Most of them started their business after COVID 19 which wrecked the whole world and which in turn also inspired a lot of Namibian women to start their own businesses  and create opportunities for themselves. This is why I applaud Future Female for this platform as it allowed us to support our local entrepreneurs.

There were 4 Power House Speakers, Natasja Beyleveld – MD NaMedia and she will share – Goal Strategies to Take Care of Your Business, Mariane Akwenye – Director Nomad Group will share – Goal Strategies to Take Care of Yourself and Your Family, Dr Suraia Schiceya – Medical Doctor will share – Goal Strategies to Take Care of Your Health and Habits. There is a lot that stood out for me in their speeches and I related to Dr Suraia Schiceya sharing how she finds a healthy balance between being a career woman, wife, mother and sister and she mentioned something that resonated with me, that we make time for what is important to us but also how important time for yourself is as we tend to be in over drive and doing the most for others and we burn out and cannot pour from an empty cup. Another speaker Monique Cloete – MD Liberty Life will share – Goal Strategies to Take Care of Your Finances in your Business, stood out for me and she shared valid insights that one should not overlook when managing their finances especially for their business.

Part of the list of vendors showcasing their services and products (that almost finished my money by the way) were Grace Gras that sell Home and car diffusers, room and linen sprays and soy wax scented candles,  Su’s Kitchen,
Janice Thompson Photography that does birth photography, Anna’s Kloovenburg, AKAH Consultancy, NeuroBloom Psychology Practice, Serene African Adventures, Sesco Agency, Bind Date Namibia, The Barn, Justine Black Cosmetics, Exotic Fudge, Simply Handmade, V’s Creations, Kreatique Studio,  Gloria’s Pepper Sauce and Catering, The Cocktail Shakers, Desire Travel, Ashley Mc Nab – Bare Essentials, Silver Heart Baking & Funhouse Lollies, Silver Heart Baking & Funhouse Lollies, Elegance Foods and Fern Funeral Solutions, be sure to follow them on social media and support their businesses as empowering one woman empowers a whole tribe.

The event left me inspired and motivated to push harder with my business and also be at expo’s like this. It was refreshing being around like-minded women that want more for themselves. You have something in you that the world needs and you need to put yourself out there more and present your brand to the world. It’s never too late to start working on your dreams, start today with what you have and be ready and open to learn along the way.

Nothing hurts  more than seeing other people live out their dreams and you aren’t and they are doing what you want to do yourself so Queen get started on that business idea today and bring more Queens with you.

Much Love,

Shai_Quan xx
