“So… What Are You Doing Next Year?” The Pressure After Grade 12 Is Real

Finishing Grade 12 is a BIG achievement! 🎉 After years of assignments, exams, early mornings and stress, getting your results should feel like a victory.

But then comes the question that makes many school leavers nervous:

“So… what are you doing next year?”

For many young Namibians, the excitement of finishing school is quickly replaced by pressure, anxiety and uncertainty. Suddenly, it feels like everyone expects you to have your entire life planned out at 18 or 19.

But here’s the truth: it’s okay not to have all the answers yet.

The Next Step Isn’t Always Straightforward

Many Grade 12 learners worry about:
