The PMR.africa Business Excellence Awards ceremony took place on Wednesday, 3rd of March 2023 at the Safari Court Hotel and Fresh FM is a proud recipient of the 2022 Golden Arrow award for leaders and achievers.
The PMR Africa is a division of C.J. Hattingh & Sons, a consultancy and research company that awards organisations on research-based excellence in the industry. As a station on a mission to create great radio by serving the best in urban music and creating a cosmopolitan society that celebrates black excellence, Fresh FM expresses the thrill to have been awarded a third PMR Africa award.
First awarded in 2019 with a silver arrow in General Entertainment and Music, and News and Current affairs components, the station has since worked tirelessly to refine and perfect their craft. These efforts paid off when Fresh FM was awarded a second PMR award in 2021, a Gold Arrow in General Entertainment and Music, and News and Current affairs, and this year the team celebrates yet again in a third award!
This celebration is not isolated as each Future Media radio brand was recognized at the awards in the category of Local Radio Stations. Omulunga Radio received a Gold PMR award in the category of Local Radio for General Entertainment and Music. Nova 103.5, the youngest station of the four Future Media radio brands, received their first Gold PMR award in the category of local radio stations for General Music and Entertainment. Radiowave received a Diamond PMR award for General Music and Entertainment, as well as News and current affairs.
Juan Vorster, General Manager of Broadcasting at Future Media said “It is greatly appreciated when the hard work and commitment of our team is recognized at the PMR Awards. Our stations have consistently been conferred with PMR Awards which shows our commitment to offering Namibia the best in broadcasting. We thank the PMR Awards for the acknowledgment.”
