Empowering Namibia’s Vulnerable

todayJune 9, 2026

Background

Many Namibians rely on paper-based medical records, which are hard to access and share, especially in emergencies. Digitizing these records is essential but costly, with expenses varying by complexity.

Estimated Cost Range: N$200–N$1000 per patient to digitize records, depending on the volume and complexity, such as simple records versus extensive histories for elderly patients.

The Meditag Foundation will bring accessible healthcare to the elderly, Katutura, Oranjemund, and remote Namibians through subsidized digital medical passports.
