Heeeyyyyy Bestie
How are you doing??
We live in a world that constantly tells us to do more.
Work harder. Hustle more. Answer that message. Finish that task. Chase that dream. Keep moving.
And sometimes, we forget that we are human beings, not machines.
So today, I want to remind you: having a lazy day is okay.
Sometimes you need a day where you sleep a little longer, stay in your pyjamas, watch your favourite show, listen to music, take a nap, or simply do absolutely nothing.
And you know what? You don’t have to feel guilty about it.
Rest is not a sign that you’re lazy. Rest is how you recharge.
Think about your phone. When the battery gets low, you don’t get angry with the phone and tell it to work harder. You plug it in!
Sometimes, we need to do the same thing with ourselves.
We need to unplug. We need to slow down. We need to breathe.
Because constantly pushing yourself without rest can leave you physically exhausted, emotionally drained and mentally overwhelmed.
And here’s something important: your worth is not measured by how much you accomplish in a day.
You are still valuable when you haven’t answered every email.
You’re still worthy when your house isn’t perfectly clean.
You’re still enough when you haven’t ticked everything off your to-do list.
Sometimes, resting is exactly what you need so that you can come back stronger.
Even nature has a rhythm of work and rest. The sun rises and sets. The seasons change. There is a time for activity and a time for stillness.
So, if today is your slow day, embrace it.
Take the nap.
Drink the coffee slowly.
Listen to your favourite music.
Spend time with the people you love.
Sit quietly.
And give yourself permission to simply be.
Tomorrow, you can get back to the hustle.
But today, perhaps your body, your mind and your soul are asking you for one simple thing:
“Please, just rest.”
And that’s okay.
Because sometimes, doing nothing isn’t wasting time.
Sometimes, doing nothing is exactly how we prepare ourselves for everything that’s still ahead. ❤️
Much Love,
