The Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA) has recovered N$3.4 million through its whistleblowing hotline.

Launched last year and independently managed by Deloitte Namibia, the NamRA whistleblowing hotline has become a crucial tool in enhancing transparency and accountability.

Since its activation in May 2024, the hotline has received 60 reports addressing concerns such as fraud, corruption, tax evasion, alleged money laundering, drug smuggling, and other unethical behavior.

According to the agency, the initiative has had a significant impact, with N$15.8 million raised in tax assessments. Of this, N$3.4 million was successfully recovered from three companies in November and December 2024 alone.
