The Lüderitz Blue School has been shortlisted for the 2025 TES Awards for International Schools under the Curriculum Initiative of the Year category, recognising its innovative Marine and Maritime Studies (M&MS) Curriculum.
The programme, taught from years 3 to 8, explores ecology, culture, history, art, and economics, fostering both scientific literacy and a deep connection to the ocean.
“Our vision for Marine and Maritime Studies is to ensure every child develops the knowledge, skills, and values needed to become an active steward of the marine environment,” said Head of Blue Education, Marnie Erasmus.
TES International Editor and Chair of the Judges, Dan Worth, added: “A huge congratulations to all the schools and individuals shortlisted for these awards. The volume of entries we received, coupled with the depth of quality, meant it was no easy task for our judges to create the shortlist we are now proud to share.”
The winners will be announced on the 9th of December 2025, via a global video broadcast.
