Is your opinion your identity?

Is who you are and the opinions you identify with somehow linked? Your opinion is defined as a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge and your identity is the fact of being who or what a person or thing is. That being said, I think yes, you only take on beliefs and ideologies that resonate with your core/ in essence, you, and these two things may exist subconsciously without or knowledge but definitely manifest in our day to day choices, responses and opinions we identify with. Do you agree?
