The Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) has released a new Procurement Tracker Namibia report, urging stronger links between the Access to Information Act of 2022 and the Public Procurement Act of 2015 to promote transparency in government spending.
The report also analyses the upcoming Public Procurement Amendment Bill of 2025, which aims to strengthen accountability and improve access to public information across Namibia’s procurement system.
IPPR Executive Director Graham Hopwood said the proposed reforms could help close information gaps and ensure more responsible use of public funds.
