Imagine Dragons Mercury Tour
Elevating pop music to a new high, touring the world and finally bringing that new high to Africa is the Imagine Dragons Mercury concert 2023. The concert was held in Cape Town, South Africa and courtesy of airlink Namibia and SA tourism we all flocked to the western cape to catch them live and in the flesh!
About 60 000 people were in attendance at the DHL stadium and it was an experience of a lifetime. Opening the show was Jesse Chegg and his extremely groovie band playing some of his greatest hits like use me and I’ve been looking for.
Eventually taking the stage with a throwback classic was IMAGINE DRAGONS singing “it’s time” from the night visions album (which is my favorite song, that they did for me cause we are one sided friends). The exceptional performance went on for 2 hours, with more throw backs which include ‘believer’, ‘thunder’, radioactivity’ etc the biggest track was “Enemy” from the Arcane series.
The lights, smoke, confetti and fireworks wrapped up the show, sealing the experience forever in our memories as about 50 000 fans without cars flocked on foot through the city center on route to tell stories about their experience.
