We are back with your favorite personalities in the land. We continue celebrating and appreciating our stars and shining some extra light on them on Fresh Personality of the week. While doing so, we also get to know them on a more personal level and find out some interesting facts about them. You gonna love this, we are being friends with them for a few minutes.
This week we get up close and personal with Tv Personality, Actor, MC, Singer and Dj, Paul Da Prince. The mufti talented Paul shares his interesting background, new projects, favorite food, his love for EA FC 25 and so much more.
Fresh: What do your friends call you?
Paul: My friends call me PDP.
Fresh: Where did you grow up, and what’s a fond memory from there?
Paul: I grew up in Lusaka. I remember when I started learning how to sing and my tv presenting days during high school. It was a fun time and I appreciate all my friends who stood by me while I was finding my feet.
Fresh:When’s your special day?
Paul:8th December is my birthday
Fresh: What’s your creative process like, is it structured or chaotic?
Paul: A bit of both. Some things come on the fly, others require good preparation.
Fresh:If your life were a genre of movie, what would it be?
Paul:It would definitely be a comedy adventure
Fresh:If you could relive one day of your career exactly as it was, which day would it be?
Paul: The very first day I stood in front of a camera. I’ll never forget the feeling.
Fresh: What sparked your passion for your career? Any unexpected twists?
Paul: My mother used to be a news anchor. My family has always been present. I also recall my father wanting me to do something else which was quite hard to convince him otherwise. Eventually he supported me through my entire journey.
Fresh: Any achievements or projects you’re super proud of?
Paul: There are plenty. From finishing 2nd in a teen singing competition, to achieving my dream of finally getting on SuperSport one day. Hosting prestigious events like the NAMAs. Meeting my favorite celebrities in the longrun.
Fresh: What book, movie, or piece of art changed your life?
Paul: The Bible. There’s a lot of wisdom and inspiration in there.
Fresh: When you’re not working, what are you up to? Any hobbies or secret talents?
Paul: I am currently working on a collection for my clothing line. I also have music projects in the works. My favorite hobby is playing EA FC 25 I think I put too much passion in that game lol.
Fresh: Which song is on repeat for you right now?
Paul: Kendrick Lamar – Reincarnated
Fresh: If you weren’t in the entertainment industry, what would you be doing?
Paul: I think I would be a lecturer
Fresh: What motivates you to keep going on tough days?
Paul: My amazing family
Fresh: What shows or movies are you currently binge-watching?
Paul: I just finished Squid Games, I also enjoy Sherlock and Daughter, Murderbot, Iron Heart and lastly, Your Friends and Neighbors on Apple TV.
Fresh: Do you ever re-watch your own performances? If so, which one and why?
Paul: Not really, I have seen a few and that was the Namibian Annual Music Awards. Sometimes I get to see my DJ sets through other people’s stories when they share them.
Fresh: If you could work with any artist or personality, who would it be?
Paul: That would be DJ Spuzza and ZellaFullForce.
Fresh: What’s a misconception people have about your job?
Paul: That it pays a whole lot of money.
Fresh: What’s your favorite food?
Paul: I am probably the biggest fan of pap and vleis.
Fresh: Do you have a personal mantra or quote you live by?
Paul: When you look good, you feel good and when you feel good, you do good.
Fresh: What’s one stage/city/place/festival you would love to perform at one day?
Paul: It has to be Afronation in Portugal
Fresh: What’s your dream holiday destination?
Paul: Manchester England, just to watch Manchester United. I also fancy Spain
Fresh: Any events, releases, or projects on the horizon we should know about?
Paul: I am still putting strategies in place, everything will be shown when it’s ready. Most definitely.
