Tsap Fresh Family,

We continue celebrating and appreciating our stars and shining some extra light on them on Fresh Personality of the week. While doing so, we also get to know them on a more personal level and finding out some interesting facts about them. You gonna love this, we are being friends with them for a few minutes.
This week we got upclose and personal with superstar dj, Mr good vibes, the one and only dj Castro. Here are some interesting facts about the shining star hitmaker

What do your friends call you?

– Most people just call me Uakii – Minister of Enjoyment. It kinda stuck because wherever I go, good vibes follow. Music, laughs, good energy—that’s the brand.

Where did you grow up, and what’s a fond memory from there?

-I grew up in the capital of the Otjozondjupa region, the town of gold—Otjiwarongo. One of my favorite memories is the way the whole town would come alive during local tournaments—music playing, people cheering, fire food stands. That spirit still fuels how I move today.

When’s your special day?

-I was born on October 20, 1996—a proud Libra . Balance, good energy, and a love for connection… that’s all me. My birthday’s always the perfect excuse to gather the crew and celebrate life.

What sparked your passion for your career? Any unexpected twists?

-It all started with a love for music and how it moves people. I never thought spinning tracks in my room would turn into gigs and festivals. Each set taught me something new—especially the ones that didn’t go as planned.

Any achievements or projects you’re super proud of?

-My first official mix that hit a lot of streams felt like a dream. But nothing stops the energy of a crowd losing it to your set.

How would you describe what you do in a tweet?

-I make people dance and feel alive—one beat at a time. From Afro house to amapiano, I bring the Namibian vibe to every stage I hit.

What do you do for fun?

-When I’m not spinning tracks or digging through crates, I’m on the pitch. Soccer’s my escape—no pressure, just vibes, footwork, and fresh air. It’s the one space where I can fully zone out and reset. Outside of that, I still keep it creative, always finding new ways to blend sound and story, even off the decks.

What are you listening to right now?

-Right now, Yeezir’s Wanahenda stays on repeat, the dude’s energy, sound, and delivery are next-level. Whether I’m prepping a set or just chilling, his tracks keep the momentum right.

What movies or Tv-shows are you watching?

-Lately, I’ve been hooked on Top Boy—the drama, the music, the energy, everything just hits right. I also sneak in a bit of Boondocks when I need a good laugh.

What’s something you enjoy that might surprise people?

-I still watch old Tom & Jerry episodes when I need a laugh. No dialogue, just chaos—and it never gets old.

If you could work with any artist or personality, who would it be?

-Dj Spuzza , hands down. No second thought. The energy we’d create together would be wild—real Namibian heat.

Do you have a personal mantra or quote you live by?

-“Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready.” Whether it’s on the decks, the pitch, or in life, I keep that mindset close.

Any events, releases, or projects on the horizon we should know about?

I’ve got some heat cooking up—new mixes dropping soon, and a collab set that’s gonna flip the scene. Plus, I’ll be spinning live at a couple of local events this season—stay locked in, you won’t want to miss the energy!

Is there a fun fact or story you’d love us to know?
-I once almost missed a set because I was deep in a street soccer game—dust flying, crowd cheering, fully locked in. That balance between passion and profession is real. At the end of the day, I’m just a kid from Namibia chasing sound, living dreams, and staying grounded in the things that make me feel alive—music, soccer, and community.
