The Ministry of Health, together with the United Nations Children’s Fund and the World Health Organization, has released the 2024 SMART survey on child nutrition. The committee said the decision helps maintain the Namibia Dollar–Rand peg while supporting the domestic economy.  Moderate economic growth, contained inflation, slower credit extension, a narrower trade deficit, and sufficient international reserves all shaped the decision.
