ECB and Stakeholders Meet to Shape Electricity Guidelines

The Electricity Control Board hosted a stakeholder workshop last Friday in Swakopmund to create national guidelines for domestic load modelling and maximum demand determination. The ECB’s CEO, Robert Kahimise, emphasized that collaboration and locally grounded data are key to developing fair and effective electricity planning standards. Stakeholders reviewed the draft report and contributed to refining its methodology. The final guidelines are set for further discussion and approval during an industry workshop in February 2026.
