Namib Mills will reduce the prices of its maize and mahangu product ranges by 16% effective 13 October. In a media statement, the company said the price adjustment is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to support consumers by ensuring that staple food products remain affordable and accessible across the country.

The company said that, despite rising costs in certain areas of production due to inflation, improved availability and lower prices of raw materials within the country have created an opportunity to pass savings on to loyal consumers of its maize and mahangu products.

“As a proudly Namibian company, we are committed to feeding the nation and contributing to food security, which remains a national priority. This price decrease is our way of giving back to the communities that continue to support us, said Namib Mills General Manager ST Ackerman.
