Parliament is participating in the 68th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) in Barbados, running from 5 to 12 October.
Parliament spokesperson Sakeus Kadhikwa emphasized the importance of Namibia’s participation, noting that the conference allows the country to engage in meaningful dialogue with fellow Commonwealth nations and strengthen international legislative partnerships.
The delegation, led by National Council Chairperson Lukas Muha, joins lawmakers from across the Commonwealth to discuss key issues, including democracy, governance, and global cooperation. The conference also provides a platform for women parliamentarians to elect a new Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians Chairperson, highlighting gender representation and leadership within parliamentary systems.
