The Namibia International Cybersecurity Conference & Exhibition 2025 officially opened today at the Arebbusch Travel Lodge, marking the country’s most expansive cybersecurity event to date. Running through 18 July, the three-day summit has drawn more than 2,000 participants, including government officials, industry innovators, academics, and global experts.

Director of ITC and Development at the Ministry of Information, Linda Aipinge, spoke on behalf of the ICT Minister. She also urged attendees to involve their networks in these initiatives.

Aipinge further indicated the progress made by Namibia on cybersecurity legislation. She revealed that drafting of the Cybercrime Bill is nearing completion, following earlier delays tied to limited legal expertise—a challenge similarly faced during the development of the Data Protection Bill.
