Several residents of Windhoek’s Katutura East constituency expressed frustration after allegedly being excluded from a food parcel donation event on Wednesday facilitated through the constituency office.

Lena Ileka, a resident of Katutura East said the distribution process was unfair, claiming that priority was given to residents from other areas of the constituency.

Ileka further alleged that some of those beneficiaries had already received food parcels from a previous distribution event last month.

Another resident, Panduleni Nakanyala, said she had compiled a list of elderly residents in need by going door to door, however, when she attempted to submit the list to the constituency office, she was turned away.
