A 56-year-old woman was defrauded of N$60,000 in Klein Windhoek.

Police allege that the complainant received a phone call from an unknown male suspect who posed as a representative of Bank Windhoek.

Under the pretense of assisting with a banking matter, the suspect manipulated the complainant into revealing her personal banking information.

Acting on the suspect’s instructions, the complainant unknowingly facilitated the transfer of N$60,000 from her account.

No arrests have been made, and the stolen funds have not been recovered.

Police investigations are ongoing to identify and trace the suspect.
