While doing so, we also get to know them on a more personal level and finding out some interesting facts about them. You gonna love this, we are being friends with them for a few minutes.
This week we get upclose and personal with the gentle giant Dj Siya. Mwine we territory shares his musical backgrounds, special talents, his love for play station and so much more.

What do your friends call you?

■ My Friends call me Siya or Mwine We Territory ( Meaning the owner of the Territory)

Where did you grow up, and what’s a fond memory from there?

■ I grew up in the  town of Katima Mulilo, in a location called Choto Compound, Zambezi Region. One of the fond memory was how we use to enjoy our dusty soccer game with ball made out of plastic bags, it used to be our everyday routine.

When’s your special day?

■I was born on tbe 4th of December 198***.  You can guess the last digit. Lol

How would you describe what you do ?

■Well, I do music, The true beauty of music is that it connects people. It has connected me to a lot of people, being on a personal level or professionally. I started as a dj in the early 2000s and in 2011 I released my first single Feafuring Jael Promise MK with the assistance of my brother Mr. Glo Solani Zulu who produced the song. Since then I have pushed up to 5 albums featuring different artist from different countries. Music is a journey and the journey continues.

What sparked your passion for your career? Any unexpected twists?

■Answer: I was inspired by my two late uncles Mr. John Mubyana Mutonga and Motsamai Motsamai Dj Bolley, May Their Souls Continue Resting In Peace. My late uncle Bo Mubyana had a club called Zambezi Night club ( Wooden Bridge today) from the late 90s to early 2000s. So if I remember correctly in the late 2000s on a Saturday the resident dj didn’t show up and I was told to switch on the Club sound and I grabbed the opportunity, from that Night i decided to continue and Mr. Motsamai Motsama i started taking me along to some of his shows around katima mulilo and nearby villages. So we here now and their legacy continues.

Any achievements or projects you’re super proud of?

■ 5 Studio Album is a great achievement, Performing around my beautiful country Namibia and other countries is a blessing ( I have performed in Zambia, Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Rwanda and also in United Kingdom ( London, Wolverhampton & Birmingham ).

When you’re not working, what are you up to? Any hobbies or secret talents?

■ I’m a football fan so in my spare time, I do play soccer every Sunday when I’m not on the road.

Which song is on repeat for you right now?

■ Djsiya ft Yo Maps & Temi Dimplez – Crazy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8d5TymAnSA

It’s the first track on my Ntuse Album

Any favorite shows or movies you’re currently binge-watching?

■ Unfortunately I’m not a movie person but here and there i could check some Comedy.

What’s something you enjoy that might surprise people?

■I play a lot of Play station, FIFA mostly.

If you could work with any artist or personality, who would it be?

■ Zimbabwe’s Jah Prayzah would be one of them.

Do you have a personal mantra or quote you live by?

■You’re not behind. It’s not too late. You’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. Everything is unfolding. Don’t judge yourself or be hard on yourself about how long something is taking to happen. Your time is coming. Just be thankful that you made it this far.

Upcoming Excitement: Any events, releases, or projects on the horizon we should know about?

■Working on a few projects, including some music videos from my previous album. We also have an annual event Zambezi Night we are working on.

Any message to your fans and supporters?

■I’m very thankful to my fans and everyone that supports me. We should be thankful to our fans. They are the reason we get to do what we love. We need to remember that, they’re very important.” God Bless
